This book was absolutely amazing, but it actually broke my heart.

I'd like to preface this by saying I actually bought this copy instead of winning it.

I powered through this book within 24 despite having to put it down several times because it's a really tough topic to read about.

The dual protagonists were probably two of my favorite protagonists. Despite their contrasting personalities, they fit very well together. I also appreciate that they weren't each others love interests in the book. I think it's over done with the two main characters fall for each other.
And they're both queer!!!!!! I loved it !!!!!!

Now for the plot. Secret societies in private schools that target minority students?? Absolutely heartbreaking, but the "who can you trust element' of the book kept me going. It was hard to stop until I knew. But the book does a beautiful job highlighting the racism present in academia. I honestly wish I could find a book with the same idea set in higher education though.

While the ending wasn't the most satisfying, it was fairly realistic.

Honestly, this is a book I would recommend to anyone and everyone. I would recommend this book until I'm blue in the face.
