When I tell you I was on the edge of my seat and my jaw dropped multiple times I am not exaggerating! I absolutely LOVED this book. I really didn't know much of what I was getting into with this book, I knew a lot of people enjoyed the book, but didn't know any specifics and I haven't read any thrillers or mysteries before so I was pleasantly surprised! I also really liked how Devon and Chiamaka were from such different social classes, but in the end even that didn't matter. That even being "well-off" doesn't protect you from racism, which is a common misconception I have seen from a number of people. I also have to admit I really couldn't tell ahead of time which characters were good or not. So many of the chapters ended with twist and cliffhangers for characters and revealing things and I was shocked almost every time. Also I listened to the audiobook for a couple chapters while driving and thought the narrators did a great job!
