This novel just completely blew me away. While at first I was a little apprehensive about the portrayal of high school as some popularity competition where everyone is out to get everyone else (because obviously this trope that the media loves just isn't realistic), I thought the author did a great job with Niveus. The characters were great, the plot twists were shocking, and I was at the edge of my seat the entire time. It got quite a lot darker than I was expecting, but that definitely wasn't a bad thing. My only critiques are that I wish we got more of an explanation about the memory stuff, and the ending felt a little rushed. Overall I think the book could've been longer to go further in depth on some of the plot points. This book was fabulous, Faridah is a fantastic author, and I'm super excited to see whatever project she comes out with next.
