4.5/5 stars. AMAZING. This was utterly amazing.

This book was VERY diverse. Granted, I expected it would be, but I still appreciate it tremendously.

Chiamaka
I appreciated how as Chiamaka was coming to her sexuality, she wasn’t feeling ashamed or as though it was something to be ashamed of by others. Chiamaka is such a confident character with so much depth and personality that made me feel for her in a way I didn’t quite expect.

Devon
Now, as for Devon, I loved him. I knew from the very first chapter that he’d be a character that would stick with me. Devon wasn’t afraid to show his emotions and had so many feelings that I could tell he just cared about the world and everything so much, despite all the hate and racism. I also loved that he was also able to eventually fully come into his sexuality.

Chiamaka and Devon were characters that were some that will live with me throughout the rest of my life. I am so glad I read this and am also thankful about how it was able to expand my knowledge about racism.
