From cover to plot, Ace of Spades is immediately engaging. Described as a Gossip Girl-esque book with societal commentary and a thriller edge, Ace of Spades is interesting right off the bat - it's dark academia done in a way that hasn't been done before and with a unique perspective, and those things combined make it one of my most anticipated 2021 reads.
