This detailed true crime account of a very twisted crime read like a thriller, and the plot seems almost too far-fetched to believe! Missing persons, jealousy, deceit, and romantic entanglements fill the pages of this book as the case unfolds. It was extremely detailed and well-written, my only dislike is that some of the details seemed superfluous to the real plot- which I was dying to get to the bottom of! I had high hopes for this one after being a fan of the author's mother, Anne Rule, and I was disappointed! I also wish that I could have seen the photos that will accompany the final copy; I ended up googling what Dave Kroupa looked like because I needed to know what the man at the center of the tangled web looked like!
