In A Tangled Web, Leslie Rule gives life to a complicated and disturbing true crime story. There is a lot of information to absorb and details to cover. Rule lays the story out in a way that is easy to follow and shows a keen attention to detail. The story itself is so fantastical, it almost reads like a crime thriller. In 2012 Cari Farver meets Dave Kroupa and soon after she disappears. Dave isn't worried until someone online claiming to be Cari starts to harass and stalk him. Also included in the stalking, is a woman Dave has had an on again off again relationship with, Liz. Liz claims she too has been receiving threatening messages from Cari, however, there is much more to Liz than meets the eye.
