The story kept me engaged and turning the pages until it was over, and I can’t believe I inhaled it all at one go. This wasn't my favourite true crime book I have ever read because at times I thought the writing dragged on a bit. I do wish the conclusion didn't feel so rushed. It was like there was so much build up and then the book just kinda ends on a lacklustre note. Leslie Rule did a nice job laying out the players in the story and leading us up through the crime as it develops until it's final days in the courtroom. The killer is definitely a scary person and she controlled so many people before, during and after the crime! This was a very well written book, and the author did an amazing job of getting background on everything, as well as keeping the story line straight.
