I found the author's preface interesting. I had not realized she is Ann Rule's daughter. The analogy of a spider's web and the World Wide Web in the Introduction was well-written.
I have never read a true crime book. I didn't know what to expect for the writing style. I figured there would be less setting-development and perhaps less character-development, and I didn't know how I would feel about it.

I would be really interested to read about this, since online dating is something that I had dabbled in for a few years and I've heard some horror stories, but nothing on this level!
