The cover of A Tangled Web is pretty standard crime/thriller cover in in my opinion. A haunting blurred out character behind some sort of bars. I think it works for the genre of book for sure. The first look read very slow for me personally. The first bit is essentially some background on why the author is writing this book and why she started her career in the crime photography field. She was sort of following in her mother’s foot steps, but in her own way. Which I appreciate. That being said I could not get into this read. At first I was confused on if this was non-fiction or fiction, but I guess it’s a fiction story based on actual crimes. I think that anyone who enjoys true crime shows and books will enjoy this story. I do feel that the authors writing style is a bit hard to follow along with, but it also could be that I wasn’t as interested in the content as an actual crime fan.
