A Sky in the Struggle by Aya de Leon:

★★ ★☆☆

This is a story filled with thrill and suspense. Still for some reason I felt the story slow passed. I was expecting a story so full of action, suspicion and a story that will just keep me turning the page. Although the story did had action, suspense, suspicion, secrets and everything a sky story can offer, it still managed to feel heavy and slow.
I think that one of the main reasons it was hard for me to get into this book was because the main character Yolanda wasn’t someone that was likable at first, I didn’t relate to her, and a lot of her actions just didn’t made sense, not even on her situation, or the feeling felt just half way through, as if it was just an actor playing the character. Her whole essence just didn’t felt real and relatable enough for me to care about what was happening to her, and of course it just became harder to get into the book’s story.
Although there were some turn in the story, most of the things that happened felt predictable and those things just ruined the magic of the book, making it flat and simple.
I sincerely didn’t liked this book enough to recommend it, but maybe it is just simply not my style. Still if you want to give it a try I would recommend it for young adults and adults.
