I enjoyed this story as it interested me from the beginning. You have Millie who is doing everything in her power to take care of her grandmother, Joy and then you have Ben who is trying to repay for his mother's crimes. Two likable people with big hurdles facing them.
And so the story goes on how they try to work things out. There's family history and mystery to uncover and of course time is working against Millie. She meets Ben a work when he catches her snooping. He agrees to help here and they work hard at trying to find the answers and a mysterious treasure Grandma Joy mentions.
I had no idea how this was all going to play out but it did quite well and it kept my interest the whole way. The only part that I could have done without was Millie's thoughts of leads in romance novels. That was just me though and it wasn't that frequent.
I recommend to anyone loving some mystery, great people and a little romance thrown in.
