Having had a parent with Alzheimer’s, I was touched by Millie’s dilemma with her Grandmother Joy. Millie needs to make arrangements to move her grandmother to another facility that can take care of her grandmother better and this costs money that Millie does not have. I was hooked. As the story moves forward, Millie is seeking a treasure in her Great Grandmother’s diary. The author sets up a historical fiction, a romance between Millie and Ben, who has his own set of problems, and a search for treasure.
