This seems like it will be an exciting mystery! The excerpt does a great job of setting up the characters' backstories, which is sure to play into the motivations behind working together in the future. I'm excited to see their interactions with one another, and where this adventure will take them!
I will say that I'm not a huge fan of the book cover. It isn't terrible, but I don't really like when real people are used for covers since it throws off my impression of the characters when I'm reading.
