đź’Thoughts:
This story was a little hard for me to get into at first, but once I did I enjoyed it. The pacing feels intentionally slow to allow for the slow development and longing of Aria’s Summer of young love. The author did a great job setting the atmosphere and making the reader feel like they were right there with Aria and her friends.

I really enjoyed Aria’s interactions with her grandmother, Joan. Joan was a really interesting woman and offered a lot to the story.

So much happened to Aria at the end of the Summer. I really felt for her with the grief she experienced. She was so young and naive and it really showed with her decisions. I don’t want to give to much away about the ending.

I love the cover! It’s so pretty. The colors are so eye catching! Definitely a favorite part of the book.

I recommend for anyone who enjoys character driven YA, coming of age stories.
