I really enjoyed this first look, and was immediately drawn into the story and characters. The setting instantly felt full of life and memory that I could imagine really well. I also felt like Aria was an immediately compelling protagonist, with a very real struggle that didn't feel unrealistic or exaggerated. Likewise, I felt like the tone and style of the text really captured Aria's age well--she felt like, realistically teenager-y, with a balance of maturity and immaturity, without it feeling like an out-of-touch caricature of adolescence that some books fall into. I'm definitely intrigued by Aria's journey and her relationship to the characters she's meeting!
