A Scatter of Light’s stunning cover made me want to read the First Look! While normally not attracted to Young adult books, Malinda Lo’s writing kept me engaged. Aria Tang West has a lot going on in her life. Her parents are divorced. He is getting ready to start college when something turns her life upside down just before high school graduation. Her parents change her summer plans and she is staying with her artist grandmother in an isolated area north of San Francisco. This book is definitely on my radar.
