I don't read much young adult literature but I picked up Last Night at the Telegraph Club last year and became an instant fan of Malinda Lo. This first look at A Scatter of Light has me looking forward to more excellent storytelling. Lo's writing is so engaging and relatable that it makes for appealing fiction for both young adult and adult readers. I immediately found the character of Aria to be appealing and was immediately immersed in the story, wanting to know more of her background. I'm intrigued to see the relationship between Aria and Steph grow as well as to learn more about Aria's relationship with her parents and grandmother. I really appreciate the growing amount of LGBT literature and am looking forward to Aria learning more about her sexuality. This is shaping up to be a really good read that will be hard to put down once I get my hands on it!
