I wasn't a fan, didn't keep my attention enough to finish

I gave it a two stars, but that is because it did not keep my attention so that I could finish it. I tried several times, but there was just so much going on that I couldn't keep from constantly looking back and trying to remember things that didn't stick out for me. It could be because I'm not a huge high fantasy reader, so it just might not have been the book for me. I didn't quite get the whole prophecy and types of magic, or why the queen chose one daughter over the other. I did like that it included types of underrepresented characters in several different aspects, both main characters and side characters.

Thanks for the opportunity to read it, and I will still make it available for my high school students to give a try.
