Sounds right up my alley!
First off, I loved Tomi Adeyemi's 'Children of Blood and Bone', so any book that touts that it's for fans of COBAB definitely gets a priority spot on my TBR pile.
The cover immediately caught my eye, especially the left character's white hair... (another nod to COBAB? who knows!) I originally thought this would be some type of location/geographical-based rivalry only to find that the two main characters are SISTERS! Sibling rivalry FTW!
Fantasy. Magick. African-inspired. Own voices. Yes, yes, yes, YES!!
"Power has always inspired fear." - I absolutely LOVED this quote from the excerpt. It absolutely had me wanting more.
