Captivating from page one. This series reminds me a lot of the Ruined Trilogy by Amy Tintera, especially with the thought of rival sisters, one born useless. The concept is that only a queen rules and if multiple daughters are born, they must kill each other to earn the right to rule. This leads to distance and conflict as one sister with power pushes to rule as the other sister born without her skills only wants to be left alone. As you read, you wonder how these two siblings will survive and what will become of them. Will they truly face off and try to kill each other or will they find a way to overcome such gruesome traditions and forge their own paths. I can't wait to read the next part.
