A River of Royal Blood pulled me in from the moment I started reading. One of the first things I loved about this book is that the author wrote the world and characters with depth and understanding. I was not confused about the types of magic, or the different types of people living in this new world. The main character, Eva, though she seems unshure of herself and her magic has a good moral compass and is stonger than she knows already because of what her mother, the Queen, and her older sister have already put her through. I cannot wait to see how Eva grows and if she can unlock her power and become the Queen.
