This was a really good book. It's a slow build, yes, and it's somewhat unfortunate that the slowest part of the book comes first, but it's a definite necessity for the plot of this particular book. That being said, perhaps the only complaint I could make has nothing to do with the story itself - you can tell that there are certain issues in the translation to English. However, barring that, this is a thoroughly enjoyable book, a great legal thriller/mystery, and it's quite reminiscent of Stieg Larsson's books. Similar writing style, similar tone. I loved every minute it took to read this book. If you're looking for a fast paced legal thriller, look elsewhere, but if you're looking for a solid legal thriller that's worth the time from start to finish, this is a book for you.
