This suspense novel, of a girl named Stella who is accused and on trial for the murder of an older man, is captivating. It shows how far a family will go to help one another and how deep a bond goes between friends. While trying to figure out how their daughter became a suspect in the brutal murder, they unravel a web of lies between each family member, and will ultimately discover the truth of what really happened that night. At first I wasn’t intrigued by this, but as the chapter went on I got more and more interested.
