This book was hyped up and was even selected as a Book of the Month choice. However, I was sorely disappointed after reading it. The premise was great...your teenage daughter murders a man or so you think...and you are trying to solve the mystery about what happened or why she would have done such a thing. The book dragged along for me. None of the action was told in a way that made me care. It was all second hand action scenes told badly. I expected more intrigue. I expected a more thrilling court scene. I just expected more. It could have been a good story....it had all the makings of one...it just wasn't told in a very entertaining way. Perhaps if the author has included other view points throughout...or less from the dad.
