This was a BOTM pick for me, and I generally feel pretty confident that I will enjoy my BOTM selections! But for some reason Nearly Normal Family D-R-A-G-G-E-D for me and I just could not get it to become interesting, try as hard as I might. I appreciated what it tried to do - it's not easy to juggle so many POVs - but it fell flat and felt hollow to me in ways I can't even really articulate. I have read some GREAT family and courtroom dramas - Picoult was a master of it for the longest time, and BOTMs like Miracle Creek slay in that category - but this just wasn't it for me, even though I wanted it to be. Maybe it tried to be too many things to too many people? Give it a try, because I know many enjoyed it - but I am not one of them.
