I loved this book, and I generally love legal thrillers/mysteries. This is definitely a slow-build book, but full of suspense.

The book examines three members of the Sandell family when their daughter Stella is accused of murder. Stella, along with her father, a pastor, and her mother, a defense attorney, must each dig deep down inside and examine what lengths they are willing to go to protect their family.

The book reminded me somehow of Miracle Creek by Angie Kim. There are multiple viewpoints and it is masterfully created so that the pieces of the whole puzzle fit together. The story is told from three narrators. The tension mounts as the story progresses, and then there is a big reveal!

Everyone is lying and searching for truth will keep you guessing. A Nearly Normal Family was a gripping page-turner, and I enjoyed every morsel! I definitely recommend this one to fans of slow burning legal thrillers and mysteries.
