A Nearly Normal Family by M.T. Edvardsson is a legal thriller - and a FANTASTIC one at that. The story is told from three different perspectives. Stella is an 18 year old woman and is accused of murdering a 32 year old man. She's put in jail to await trial. Meanwhile, her parents try to piece together the events that led up to the night no one knows what happened. I appreciated the format of the book - told from multiple perspectives. It was a fresh way to read a legal thriller. Stella's perspective is sandwiched between her father's - he's a pastor - and her mother's - she's a lawyer. Typically I don't like to read "courtroom dramas" or watch those on TV, but this one really kept my attention and I think the multiple perspective/narrator format was the reason why.
