I thoroughly enjoyed this slow burn legal thriller/murder mystery. The novel provides a thoughtful commentary on morality and the lengths that people will go to for their family, children and even their friends. The book is told through alternating perspectives and it is enjoyable to try to piece together the truth from each character's point of view. You learn that each character has their own past secrets that affect their behavior in the present. By the end, you will definitely see the ending coming, but will enjoy seeing how everything concludes and will leave you thinking about how you would react in the character's situation. I also enjoyed the dark Swedish setting, very reminiscent of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
