This book took off quickly and did not the insanity until the very last sentence. I always love a good courtroom drama, and A Nearly Normal Family provided just what I needed. It is Stella's 18th birthday and she is accused of murdering a man way older than she is. But was she the one who actually did it? Her father is a pastor who is hellbent on finding out the truth about what happened. Her mother is a defense attorney who is trying to understand from a legal aspect. And her friend Amina...well Amina is not as innocent as she seems. The rotating POVs in this book really helped push me to read faster, as I just had to know what was coming next from which character. How far would we go to help or save our significant others, our children, our family members? This book takes you to the point of no return and then throws you on your head on the last page.
