The author does a great job of building suspense from the very beginning of this book. There is tension between Stella and her father, and I got the impression that Stella’s mother knows more about Stella’s life than she is telling her husband. Then when they get the phone call that Stella has been arrested, her mother goes back into the house for some reason before they leave for the police station. I’m dying to know what’s going on and the connection between the dead man and Stella. I think this could be a great read for my Mystery Book Club. Can’t wait to read the rest of the book!
