When man has been arrested for the brutal murder of his wife, Amanda it seems pretty open and shut. And yet, there is always more than meets the eye. Under the scrutiny of Lizzie’s investigation secrets start tumbling out about this idyllic marriage and community.

I loved how this book flows and transitions between Lizzie's (our investigator) and Amanda's (our victim) perspectives and I swear after each chapter I had a different potential suspect in my mind I was constantly laying out all the facts presented and trying to determine which are meaningful and guessing how this book ends. The author expertly leverages her law background into this book which I always appreciate seeing in thrillers that really make them feel just a bit more authentic (or at the very least give you a reprevive from suspending your disbelief).

Also, someone pointed out there is also a man's face on the cover and I was shook!
