This book really stood out as the good, the bad, the ugly of marriage. From start to finish, there was a new bombshell at every turn that seemed to take the story and each marriage in another direction. The story gave truth to the old saying (or thought) that you don't always know what's going on behind closed doors. This sentiment, of sorts, was certainly true for each and every married couple in the book.

McCreight has a unique style of story telling and takes readers on for a remarkable ride. Just when I thought that I had the story figured out, there was something new to learn. Each character had a life plagued by secrets and/or lies - which all again brings us back to the good, the bad, the ugly of marriage.

My only negative piece to add here is that I felt the story ended abruptly. After such an intriguing storyline and buildup, the ending was just a few paragraphs of resolution.
