The first pages alone plunged me into the lives of these "good marriages" and the secrets couples hold. I am happy that we were thrust right into it. Lizzie was just living her life and is suddenly thrown into this world first hand when she agrees to accept Zach's plea: claiming he is innocent in the murder of his wife, Amanda. So we follow her through down this rabbit hole of piecing together what really happened and the secrets marriage couple's keep. Based on what she uncovers, she then looks at her own marriage and questions it. Wondering if it can really be saved and of the true meaning of being in good marriage. The interesting perspective we also look at is the murdered victim, Amanda, days before the incident.
