I really loved this book. I like how it slowly builds up towards the ending. Lizzie has such depth with everything that’s going on at home and her childhood. I loved that she had to take this job because of money. Zach was fascinating about how mysterious he was even towards his own wife. Amanda’s backstory was very interesting and It really made me think about her hallucinations a lot. I knew something was up with the Carolyn character. The author clearly did a ton of research on Rikers and legal proceedings. I really liked that she used real places in Park Slope rather than just making fictional ones. I also loved Sam’s blackouts and his excuses. I would absolutely read more by this author.
