A Good Marriage was my BOTM pick for May and I was super excited to dive in and see what all of the buzz was about. This is a pretty sold domestic thriller with a lot of twists and turns. Literally every character has something to hide, which makes it an interesting read. I really enjoyed the courtroom scenes and the legal backdrop. There’s also some mixed media including jury testimony transcripts and legal memorandums spread throughout, which I’m always a fan of!

I think this is a pretty solid thriller that is hard to figure out. I thought I knew what was going on but I was completely wrong every time I changed my theory. My only problems were with the characters. I didn’t really connect with any of them or care what happened. There were also too many, I kept getting certain people confused and having to page back to remind myself of things. Also, not sure how I feel about the ending. I have a lot of questions still.

I do recommend this one if you’re looking for a domestic legal thriller with lots of twists and turns. l’ve seen a lot of people giving this 5 stars so I’m thinking I must be burnt out on thrillers or I’m in a reading slump. It honestly took me longer to read this than usual. I’ve been easily distracted this last week and super over this quarantine/stay at home ordeal. Definitely give this one a shot if you haven’t planned to already!
