For some odd reason, I have always been attracted to books that take place in New York City, because I always view that place like zoo. It's fun to go to, entertaining, engrossing, but at the end of the day, I don't want stay in the zoo forever, and I am happy when I am finally home.
This book is like a zoo. You're looking in on the lives of people that aren't anything like yours (at least not my first grade teacher rainbows everywhere POV) and you can't help but stare and watch. This book had it all for me: lawyer, jails, murder, strange love affairs, drama, a thriller, mystery. It had twists and turns that I truly enjoyed and I hands down believe it to be one of the best books of 2020. It's a little long, but I tore right through it.
