Dang! This was an excellent read. I can't write too much without giving away the whole story.
What I can say is that the author, Kimberly McCreight, did an awesome job in writing this legal suspense novel; and the book's descriptive synopsis really doesn't do it any justice because it is so much more. It tells the tale of how seemingly idyllic marriages are not what they seem and how the actions of some have consequences on others. Add in the legal angle and you have an engaging plot.
Complex characters abound, with each of them sharing their point of view. The different points of view leads to a very arresting read that will leave you in suspense and wondering until he end.
