Words do not do justice to the experience of reading this book. It was powerful, inspiring and so well crafted. The details and imagery truly create a whole new world and you feel in the moment through every page. The characters have depth and the emotions take control of your heart. Even before they begin their adventure I was hooked. The introduction created a foundation I couldn't wait to build on and get to know them more. Somehow I could feel the power of the journey I was about to take with them. It did not disappoint. The words are drenched in this beautiful passion, I couldn't help but feel excited at every turn. I could not put it down. I really enjoyed how the story was told. The first person POV gives us an even better look into Xiang's character. It gives that much more weight to her perspective. Such an amazing remix of a classic story. Original and empowering. A story I won't soon forget.
