When Vivi visits Sài Gòn against her mother's wishes, by chance she meets Lan, her favorite blogger. Desperate to find out about her family, Lan offers to help Vivi, trace her long lost relatives based on some pictures Vivi swiped from her mom. The two begin traveling around Sài Gòn, sparking a friendship (and more) as Vivi helps Lan overcome her crippling writer's block.
Told from both Lan and Vivi's viewpoints, this was such a cute story. While both characters were well-written, I think I liked Vivi just a bit more with her wanderlust. Regardless, I was rooting for them both the whole time! This book is very immersive, telling a story with food, and I've never been to Sài Gòn, but now I really want to go!
If you're looking for a cute love story that really plunges you into the world, then I would definitely recommend this book. I loved it!
